  Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be a printing expert to benefit by ordering through Howard Global Print?
No, If you're unfamiliar with buying print, printing terminology or the production process, we'll walk you through it. Howard Global Print simplifies printing and offers peace of mind through our print management services. Your printing project is closely monitored to ensure it is done right and on time.

What is the standard delivery time of offshore printing? Production time frames are competitive with domestic printing. It's not uncommon for printing plants overseas to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Normal production time is 5 to 10 days after receiving your approval of the press proofs, depending on the size and complexity of the job. You must also factor in the freight time: allow an average of 14-21 days for shipping by sea and an additional 3-5 days for customs clearance and local delivery. If you need it faster, we can ship a partial by air for the cost of the airfreight.

Is there a minimum order? We source printing both locally and overseas, so we can be competitive on all printing projects. If you have questions about the feasibility of your project, just call or send us an e-mail.

What format can I use for the artwork? Just about any format you want. Our pre-press capability is state-of-the-art. We can accept all of the standard media and graphics software (InDesign, QuarkXPress, Photoshop, PDF).

How can I be assured of high quality without a press check? We do not print a final run without a press check approval by you. We provide a complete set of press proofs for all jobs, as well as a bound sample using the exact materials that you specified. Your final job will not be printed until you have approved the press proofs.

Is offshore printing common in business today or is it still a relatively new concept?
There was a time when importing printed materials from another country was considered a big deal. Today, it is done without a second thought as print buyers are pressured to squeeze more out of the same budgets, and therefore, welcome the alternative that offshore printing can provide.
